Global G.A.P.<\/h2>\n

Almost all of our suppliers are GlobalG.A.P. certified. GlobalG.A.P. is a global non-profit organisation that develops standards for good agricultural practices. The organisation sets requirements for growers in areas such as food safety, traceability, environmental management, health, safety, and animal welfare.<\/p>\n

COLEAD<\/span><\/h3>\n

Bud Holland works closely with the international organisation COLEAD. COLEAD\u2019s mission is to strengthen trade and cooperation between ACP countries and the European Union.
\nThrough this collaboration, we support our suppliers in ACP countries by helping them improve their business operations, strengthen quality management, and work more efficiently through the \u201cGrowing People\u201d programme.
\n\u201cGrowing People\u201d is about creating opportunities for individuals and businesses to develop through access to knowledge, training, and practical support, while taking people, communities, and natural resources into account.
\nBy sharing the knowledge and expertise we have built up over the years, we encourage and support our suppliers in improving their processes and further developing their businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

1.600 solar panels<\/span><\/h3>\n

The more than 1,600 solar panels installed at Bud Holland generate approximately 25% of our annual electricity consumption. In addition, we choose electricity generated by offshore wind farms located off the coast of the Netherlands.
\nThese are not the only measures we take. We were among the first companies in the Netherlands to install LED lighting throughout our facility and air curtains in our warehouse. We have also exclusively used electric forklift trucks in our warehouse for more than 25 years and operate a number of electric vehicles.
\nBud Holland continues to invest in improvements in energy use, logistics, and business operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

Engagement<\/h2>\n

Bud Holland is rooted firmly in society, and as such we are keen to play an active role in the local community, whether it\u2019s for the football club around the corner or for our supplier in Peru. Our social involvement benefits a wide range of sports clubs, charitable foundations and employers\u2019 organisations. Examples close to home are the De Commandeur tennis club, the Excelsior Maassluis football club, MSV\u201971 and MVV\u201927, the Home Town Festival and Sport en Spel Maasland.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Packagings<\/span><\/h3>\n

All our plastic packaging is made of 100% recyclable plastic. What\u2019s more, we\u2019re doing all we can to reduce the volume of plastic packaging we use by switching to cardboard trays and paper wrapping and liners wherever possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
