Origin<\/h3>\n

The papaya tree is native to Mexico. The tree can grow up to six meters high and the fruits grow on the trunk. Bud Holland imports so-called ‘Golden’ papayas from Brazil. Currently the largest production takes place there; a perfect climate to grow these beautiful papayas.<\/p>\n

Golden papayas harvested at their ripest tend to have a smoother, juicier texture, making them more enjoyable to eat. The quick transport by passenger planes ensures the fruit remains fresh by minimizing the time between harvest and consumption. Fully ripe papayas have a sweeter, more intense flavor compared to fruits harvested early and ripened artificially. This method preserves the natural sugars, giving the papaya a more vibrant, tropical taste.<\/p>\n

How to store<\/h3>\n

Ripe papayas can be stored in a cool place for several days, but should not be kept in the refrigerator. Unripe fruits can ripen at room temperature.<\/p>\n

How to eat<\/span><\/p>\n

You can of course just peel, dice and eat papayas. But what is also fun is to make papaya yachts! Cut the papayas in half and remove the seeds. Now fill the space with whatever you like. Yogurt, quark, ice cream\u2026 And then decorate with toppings such as fruit, cereals, nuts or seeds. The possibilities are endless!<\/p>\n<\/div>
