Baby pineapple is originally from South Africa, but is now also grown in Mauritius. The big difference between the variety from South Africa and the vareity from Mauritius is that the core of this pineapple can also be eaten.

How to eat
What could be more fun than eating out of a pineapple? … Eating out of a BABY pineapple! Cut the pineapple in half and hollow out the fruit. Cut the pulp into cubes and mix with, for example, chicken and vegetables and fill the hollowed out baby pineapple with it. It doesn’t get much more tropical than this!
