The flavour of this vegetable is a delicious mix of spinach and red beetroots. De stems are coloured in the colours of the rainbow. The leaves are green and the nerves have the same colour as the stem.

Swiss Chard is originally from Southern Europe, especially from Italy. A switch will be made to German Swiss Chards when the season ends in Italy.

How to eat
The earthy flavour of Swiss Chard is great to combine with salter flavour like goat cheese, blue cheese or bacon. For example, you can make nice stew with Swiss Chard, bacon and cheese. Swiss Chard can be used for stir-fry or blanching.
