Origin
Choclo corn was already grown by the native inhabitants of Peru, the Incas. The corn fields were located in the Andes mountains and were harvested manually. Another fact: Choclo corn is one of the fifty five varieties of corn in Peru.

Uncooked corn cobs could be kept in the fridge for three days. Another option is to cook the corn first en freeze the kernels.
How to use
Choclo corn can be eaten separately or directly from the cob after it has been cooked/ steamed. Choclo can also be combined with dishes like ceviche, pie or soup.
