Sage
Sage is an herb with soft leaves. The color of the leaves are silver-green and feel velvety soft. The taste of sage is typical and unique and therefore difficult to describe. It can best be described as warm, spicy and slightly bitter.

Origin
Sage originally grew in the Balkans and near the Mediterranean Sea. Like many other herbs, sage was spread by monks throughout Europe and later troughout the rest of the world.

Sage can be kept in the fridge for a couple of days.
How to eat
Pick the leaves and finely chop if necessary. Sage can be used to make sage butter, which you can pour over pasta or meat. You can also use sage in fillings for meat and poultry. Also tasty: fried sage leaves as a garnish.
