Meyer lemon
A Meyer lemon is a cross between a lemon and a pomelo / mandarin hybrid. In appearance it resembles a regular lemon, but slightly rounder and the color is slightly more orange when ripe. A meyer lemon is sweeter and less acidic than a regular lemon.

Meyer lemons are originally from China. Nowadays they are imported often from countries such as Turkey and Morocco.

How to store
The lemons can be kept refrigerated for up to two weeks. They can be kept for up to a week outside the refrigerator.
How to eat
Due to its milder taste, Meyer lemon is very suitable for lemonade. You can also use the juice and zest as you would use a normal lemon. Use it in juice, marinades, desserts, pastries or dressings.
