Treviso Precoce

This beautiful vegetable is related to radicchio salad and therefore has the same characteristic, slightly bitter taste. The leaves are dark red-purple with white veins and therefore very decorative. Treviso Precoce is only grown in the Veneto region of Italy.

This red chicory is originally from the Veneto region in Italy. Treviso Precoce is IGP certified, which means that it only can be produced in Veneto.

Treviso Precoce is often halved, sprinkled with salt and pepper and then grilled. It also tastes great in pastas, risottos or raw in a salad. Or make wraps of the leaves by stuffing and rolling up the leaves.
