Eddo
Eddo is the root of a tropical plant from the taro family. It has a firm skin and looks like a hairy potato. The taste of the eddo is similar to a potato and is often described as nutty. Eddo can’t be eaten row because its slightly poisonous. But the taste is absolutely worth cooking, baking, frying or steaming first.

The eddo is a member of the taro family. Its origins go back to the native Americans in Northern America. Today they are grown in many tropical countries.

How to store
You can keep the eddo for 2 to 3 months in a cool place. Do not store the eddo in the fridge.
How to use
Eddo cannot be eaten raw, because it is slightly poisonous. But the taste is absolutely worth it to cook, bake or steam the eddo. Make sure the skin is removed before use.
